SERVICES

Little Sprouts Language & Literacy (L&L) Program offers services that target children's skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing from an early age. Our L&L team is made up of exceptional Language Support Specialists and Special Education Teachers, each of whom holds extensive experience, wide-ranging, and deep level of expertise or knowledge. Each child's program is individualized and designed to meet his/her specific needs. Our L&L team works in collaboration with our clinical team and often will consult with our occupational therapists, speech therapists, behavior therapists, counselors, and/or educational psychologist in their program planning. 

The two areas of support within the Language & Literacy Program are:

• Language Support services are available in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Tagalog and can be scheduled to take place at your child's school or at our center. Although all of our Language Support Specialists in the L&L team are trained as speech therapists and are licensed speech therapists in their home countries, they do not have a Thai licence to practice as a speech therapist here. This is because passing the Thai licensing exam requires them to fluently speak, read and write Thai. Instead, our Language Support Specialists are able to their expertise within the range of the Language & Literacy Program, supporting children's progress in language development, articulation, verbal reasoning, verbal comprehension, phonological processing, thought organization, social skills, and conversational skills. 

• Literacy Support services are offered by our special education teachers and are available in the English language at our centre at this time. These services include remedial support in reading and/or written expression for those students with or without diagnoses of dyslexia or dysgraphia.
